Another Kirby diorama to practice my modeling and animation skills.
The Kirby and Waddle-Dee models are fully rigged and ready for animation. I used a texture image for the eyes, mouth, and cheeks, and just animated the coordinates to change their expressions and colors. I also modeled all the props included.
Playing with particles for the grass was challenging, but at the end, I got the hang of it, and I had a lot of fun!
The animation was also challenging. I used booleans to hide the meshes as the ground rotates. It was also my first time animating characters. The running animation and the surprise reaction of the Waddle-Dee took me some time. While they are not perfect, I am happy with this first attempt, and I learned a lot!
I particularly love the sleeping animation. Waddle-Dee is one of my favorite game characters!
